Galway Kinnell

Galway Kinnell (1927-2014) was an American poet renowned for his intense, nature-infused verse exploring life, death, and human connection, with notable works including The Book of Nightmares (1971) and Selected Poems (1982). He received the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award for Selected Poems, served as Vermont's Poet Laureate (1989-1993), and was a MacArthur Fellow.
