About Gabriel Veraldi

Gabriel Veraldi (1926–2009), born William Schmidt in Annecy, was a Swiss French-speaking writer and translator known for his novels and essays. Prix Femina. He achieved major recognition by winning the prestigious Prix Femina in 1954 for his novel La Machine humaine, with other notable works including À la mémoire d'un ange (1953) and Les Espions de bonne volonté (1966).
