About Frederic L. Paxson
Frederic Logan Paxson (1877-1948) was an American historian specializing in the American frontier and U. American Historical Association. He won the 1925 Pulitzer Prize for History for his seminal work History of the American Frontier, 1763–1893, along with other notable books like The Last American Frontier (1910) and the American Democracy and the World War series (1936–1948). He served as president of the American Historical Association in 1938 and taught at the University of Wisconsin and UC Berkeley. Wisconsin Historical Society.
