About François Nourissier

François Nourissier (1927-2011) was a French novelist, journalist, and literary figure who served as secretary-general of Éditions Denoël, editor of La Parisienne, and adviser at Éditions Grasset. He won the Prix Femina in 1970 for La crève and the Grand Prix du roman de l'Académie française in 1965 for Une histoire française, was elected to the Académie Goncourt in 1977, and presided over it from 1996 to 2002.
