François de Roux

François de Roux (1897-1954) was a French novelist and writer born in Aix-en-Provence, known for his contributions to La Nouvelle Revue française from 1924 to 1935 and his friendships with Jean Paulhan and Paul Valéry. He achieved major literary success with his 1935 novel Jours sans gloire, which won the prestigious Prix Renaudot, and was a finalist for the Prix Goncourt in 1938 for Brune; other notable works include L'Ombrageuse, Amours perdues, Les Absentes, and La Jeunesse de Lyautey.
