About Frank Stewart

Frank Stewart (born 1946) is an American poet, essayist, translator, and editor, best known for his poetry collections and long tenure as editor of Mānoa: A Pacific Journal of International Writing since 1989. A longtime professor at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa until 2017, he has edited numerous anthologies on literature from Hawaiʻi, Asia, and the Pacific, and received the 1986 Whiting Writers' Award for his poetry along with the Hawaiʻi Governor's Award for Literature.
