About Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig

Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig is an American playwright born in Philadelphia in 1983 and raised in Northern Virginia, Okinawa, Taipei, and Beijing. She holds an MFA from UT Austin and a BA from Brown University, and her works have been produced internationally at venues like the Royal Shakespeare Company and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She has received the Whiting Award, Wasserstein Prize, Yale Drama Series Award, and United States Artists Fellowship.
