About Frances Liardet

Frances E. Liardet (born 10 December 1962) is a British novelist and translator of Arabic literature who studied Arabic at Oxford University and creative writing at the University of East Anglia, later translating works by Nobel Prize winner Naguib Mahfouz and Edwar al-Kharrat while living in Cairo.
