About Feodor Rojankovsky

Feodor Stepanovich Rojankovsky (1891-1970) was a Russian-born illustrator renowned for his vibrant children's book artwork, winning the 1956 Caldecott Medal for Frog Went A-Courtin' by John Langstaff. Notable works also include Over in the Meadow, Daniel Boone, and numerous Little Golden Books featuring animals and nature. After serving in World War I, emigrating through France, and settling in the US in 1941, he illustrated over 100 books.
