Evelyn Waugh

Evelyn Waugh (1903-1966) was an acclaimed English satirical novelist best known for works like Decline and Fall, Vile Bodies, A Handful of Dust, Scoop, Brideshead Revisited, and the Sword of Honour trilogy. He achieved major literary recognition including the Hawthornden Prize for Edmund Campion and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Men at Arms, and was regarded as one of the 20th century's great prose stylists.
