Eva Lindström

Eva Lindström (born 1952 in Västerås, Sweden) is a Swedish illustrator, author, and picture book artist known for her humorous yet dark and existential style in children's literature. She studied painting at Konstfack in Stockholm from 1969-1974 and began her career as a cartoonist in the 1980s, publishing her first book Kattmössan in 1988. Recipient of the 2022 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, her works blend shrewd humor with absurd mystery, often exploring big emotions through child-like perspectives.
