About Eugene Gloria

Eugene Gloria is a Filipino-born American poet born in 1957 in Manila, Philippines, and raised in San Francisco, California. He is the author of notable poetry collections including Drivers at the Short-Time Motel (2000), Hoodlum Birds (2006), My Favorite Warlord (2012, winner of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award), and Sightseer in This Killing City (2019). His major awards include the Asian American Literary Award, Fulbright grants, Poetry Society of America award, Pushcart Prize, and 2020 Indiana Authors Award for Poetry; he teaches at DePauw University.
