About Eudora Welty
Eudora Welty (1909-2001) was an American author born in Jackson, Mississippi, renowned for her short stories and novels depicting life in the American South. She gained acclaim with her first short story collection A Curtain of Green (1941) and won the Pulitzer Prize for her novel The Optimist's Daughter (1972), among other honors like the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
