About Erin Entrada Kelly
Erin Entrada Kelly is an American children's author of Filipino heritage born in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1977. She has won the Newbery Medal twice—for *Hello, Universe* (2018) and for *The First State of Being* (2025). She is also a Newbery Honor recipient for *We Dream of Space*. She teaches at Rosemont College in Pennsylvania.
