Emma Lathen

Emma Lathen is the pseudonym of American authors Mary Jane Latsis (1927–1997) and Martha Henissart (b. 1929), who collaborated on 24 witty financial mystery novels featuring Wall Street banker John Putnam Thatcher, beginning with Banking on Death (1961), praised as the "American Agatha Christie of Wall Street" CrimeReads. Their works received major awards including the Gold Dagger for Murder Against the Grain (1967), Silver Dagger for Accounting for Murder (1964), and Lifetime Achievement Agatha (1997).
