About Elnathan John
Elnathan John (born 1982) is a Nigerian novelist, satirist, and lawyer best known for his debut novel Born on a Tuesday (2016), which won the Betty Trask Award and Prix Les Afriques, and his satirical collection Be(com)ing Nigerian (2019). His short stories were twice shortlisted for the Caine Prize for African Writing (2013, 2015), and he has been recognized with other honors including the Miles Morland Writing Scholarship.
