Ellis Avery

Ellis Avery (1972–2019) was an American novelist known for her historical fiction exploring queer identity and desire, most notably winning two Stonewall Book Awards—the only author to do so—for her debut The Teahouse Fire (2006) and The Last Nude (2012), along with Lambda Literary and Ohioana awards.
