Elizabeth Kostova

Elizabeth Kostova (born December 26, 1964) is an American author best known for her debut novel The Historian (2005), the first debut novel to top the New York Times bestseller list, along with The Swan Thieves (2010) and The Shadow Land (2017). She has received awards including the Quill Award for Debut Author of the Year, the Book Sense Award for Best Adult Fiction, and the Hopwood Award for Novel-in-Progress, and founded the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation to support Bulgarian writers.
