Ehud Havazelet

Ehud Havazelet (1955-2015) was an American novelist and short story writer born in Jerusalem, Israel, and raised in New York City. obituary. He authored the novel Bearing the Body (2007) and short story collections What Is It Then Between Us? (1988) and Like Never Before (1998), receiving awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship, Whiting Award, and two Oregon Book Awards.Whiting Foundation. A creative writing professor at the University of Oregon, he died of leukemia at age 60.
