About Edwin Way Teale
Edwin Way Teale (1899-1980) was an American naturalist, photographer, and writer best known for his The American Seasons series, including North With the Spring (1951), Autumn Across America (1956), Journey Into Summer (1960), and Wandering Through Winter (1965), which documented extensive travels across North America. He won the 1943 John Burroughs Medal for Near Horizons and the 1966 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction for Wandering Through Winter, becoming the first naturalist to receive the latter.Edwin Way Teale
