About Edward P. Jones
Edward Paul Jones (born 1950) is an American novelist and short story writer best known for his depictions of the African-American experience, particularly in Washington, D.C. and antebellum America. His notable works include the short story collections Lost in the City (1992) and All Aunt Hagar's Children (2006), and the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Known World (2003), which also earned the National Book Critics Circle Award and International Dublin Literary Award. Among his major achievements are the PEN/Hemingway Award, MacArthur Fellowship, and induction into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
