Edmund Morris (1940-2019) was a renowned biographer best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt (1979), the first volume of a trilogy on the president, along with the controversial Dutch: A Memoir of Ronald Reagan (1999), which incorporated fictional elements.
