Dr. André Soubiran

Dr. André Soubiran (1910-1999) was a French physician and novelist renowned for his medical fiction. He earned the Prix Renaudot in 1943 for J'étais médecin avec les chars, a memoir of his WWII service, and achieved massive commercial success with the Les hommes en blanc series (The Doctors, The Healing Oath), selling over 1.5 million copies of the first two volumes, which were adapted into films.
