About Donald Justice

Donald Justice (1925-2004) was an American poet and creative writing teacher renowned for his finely crafted verse exploring themes of loss and distance. His notable works include Selected Poems (1979), which won the Pulitzer Prize, The Summer Anniversaries (1960, Lamont Poetry Prize), and Collected Poems (2004, National Book Award nominee); he also received the Bollingen Prize (1991) and Lannan Literary Award (1996).
