Donald Hall

Donald Hall (1928-2018) was an American poet, writer, editor, and literary critic, best known for poetry collections like Without, The Painted Bed, White Apples and the Taste of Stone, and the children's book Ox-Cart Man. He authored over 50 books across genres and served as U.S. Poet Laureate (2006-2007), winning awards including the National Book Critics Circle Award, Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize, and National Medal of Arts.
