Donald Alexander Downs

Donald Alexander Downs (born 1948) is an American political science professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, renowned for his scholarship on the First Amendment, free speech, academic freedom, and related civic issues. UW-Madison. His notable works include the prize-winning books Nazis in Skokie, The New Politics of Pornography, More than Victims, Restoring Free Speech and Liberty on Campus, and Arms and the University, and he has received awards such as the Jeane J.
