About Dionisio D. Martinez

Dionisio D. Martínez (born 1956) is a Cuban-born poet raised in Spain and the United States. His collections include Climbing Back (2000), selected by Jorie Graham for the National Poetry Series, Bad Alchemy (1995), and History as a Second Language (1992), winner of the Ohio State University Press / The Journal Award. He has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Guggenheim Foundation, and Whiting Foundation, and lives in Tampa, Florida.
