About Diane Bertrand Gonzales
Diane Gonzales Bertrand (born 1956) is an American author of Mexican-American descent renowned for her children's and young adult literature that celebrates family, culture, and relatable Latino experiences through bilingual picture books and novels. Her most notable works include the acclaimed YA novels Trino's Choice—winner of ForeWord Book of the Year and multiple Latino awards—and its sequel Trino's Time, as well as the Schneider Family Book Award-winning My Pal, Victor. She has earned numerous honors from the National Latino Literary Hall of Fame for best bilingual children's books and served as writer-in-residence at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas.
