Deborah Smith

Deborah Smith is a British translator and publisher specialising in Korean literature. She co-founded Tilted Axis Press, which champions literature from Asia and Africa. Her translation of Han Kang's *The Vegetarian* won the International Booker Prize in 2016. She studied Korean independently as a postgraduate student and has become one of the foremost translators of Korean fiction into English.
