About Deborah Levy

Deborah Levy is a British writer born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1959. She grew up in the United Kingdom. Her novel Swimming Home (2011) was shortlisted for the Booker Prize 2012. Hot Milk (2016) was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and the Goldsmiths Prize. She has published a celebrated autobiographical trilogy: Things I Don't Want to Know (2013), The Cost of Living (2018), and Real Estate (2021). Levy is also a playwright and screenwriter.
