Dean Atta

Dean Atta is a British poet and author of Jamaican-Scottish heritage. His debut young adult verse novel The Black Flamingo (2019), shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, follows a mixed-race gay teenager discovering drag as self-expression. He is known for performing poetry about identity, race, and queer experience.
