David Small

David Small (born February 12, 1945) is an American writer and illustrator best known for children's picture books, including the Caldecott Medal winner So You Want to Be President? (2001) and Caldecott Honor books The Gardener (1997) and One Cool Friend (2013); his graphic memoir Stitches (2009) was a #1 New York Times Best Seller and National Book Award finalist.
