About David Bergen
David Bergen (born January 14, 1957) is a Canadian novelist known for literary fiction, with notable works including The Time in Between, The Matter with Morris, A Year of Lesser, and The Case of Lena S. His 2005 novel The Time in Between won the prestigious Scotiabank Giller Prize, and he has been a Giller finalist multiple times (2010, 2020), as well as a Governor General's Award finalist (2002), while receiving awards like the Matt Cohen Award (2018) and several McNally Robinson Book of the Year honors. Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he has published eleven novels and two short story collections since 1993.
