About Dave Godfrey

Dave Godfrey (1938-2015) was a Canadian writer, professor, and publisher best known for his novel The New Ancestors, which won the Governor General's Award for English-language fiction in 1970. Quire. He co-founded influential Canadian publishers House of Anansi Press and The New Press, taught at universities including the University of Toronto and University of Victoria, and later explored the cultural impacts of computer technology.
