About Dara Horn

Dara Horn (born 1977) is an American novelist and essayist known for her works exploring Jewish themes, including the novels In the Image (2002), The World to Come (2006), All Other Nights (2009), A Guide for the Perplexed (2013), and Eternal Life (2018), as well as the nonfiction collection People Love Dead Jews (2021). She has received multiple National Jewish Book Awards (2003, 2006, 2021), the Edward Lewis Wallant Award (2002), the Harold U. Ribalow Prize (2007), and was a finalist for the Kirkus Prize in nonfiction (2021); she earned a PhD in comparative literature from Harvard University focusing on Hebrew and Yiddish.
