Cynthia Voigt (born February 25, 1942) is an American author of young adult fiction best known for her Tillerman Cycle series, including Homecoming (1981) and Dicey's Song (1982), the latter of which won the Newbery Medal in 1983. She has received numerous accolades, such as the Newbery Honor for A Solitary Blue (1984), the Edgar Award for The Callender Papers (1984), and the Margaret Edwards Award in 1995 for her significant contributions to young adult literature.
