Cynthia Harnett (1893–1981) was an English author and illustrator best known for her children's historical fiction, particularly six novels featuring ordinary teenagers in significant 15th-century English events, including the Carnegie Medal-winning The Wool-Pack (1951) and runner-up The Load of Unicorn (1959). Other notable works include Ring Out Bow Bells! (1953), Stars of Fortune (1956), and The Writing on the Hearth (1971).
