About Connie Willis

Connie Willis is an American science fiction author who won the Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel for Blackout/All Clear (2011). She is one of the most decorated authors in science fiction history, having won more Hugo and Nebula awards than any other author. Her time-travel novels set at Oxford University are among the most beloved in the genre. Born in 1945 in Denver, Colorado, Willis worked as a school teacher before becoming a full-time author. Her Oxford Time Travel series—beginning with Doomsday Book and continuing through To Say Nothing of the Dog and Blackout/All Clear—is celebrated for its emotional depth, meticulous historical research, and compassionate characterization. She has won eleven Hugo Awards and seven Nebula Awards, among many others. Willis was named a Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) in 2012.
