About Colin McDougall
Colin Malcolm McDougall (1917–1984) was a Canadian author and World War II veteran best known for his novel Execution (1958), which won the Governor General's Award and was inspired by his service in the Italian campaign and the real execution of Private Harold Pringle. House. He published short stories in magazines like Maclean's but wrote only one novel before becoming Registrar at McGill University.
