Célia Bertin

Célia Bertin (1920-2014) was a French novelist, biographer, journalist, and Resistance fighter born in Paris, who earned the prestigious Prix Renaudot in 1953 for her novel La Dernière innocence. She authored notable works including La Parade des impies (1946), Mayerling, ou le Destin fatal des Wittelsbach (1967), and biographies such as Marie Bonaparte (1999) and Jean Renoir (1986), and co-founded the literary review Roman.
