Claude Halstead Van Tyne (1869–1930) was an American historian specializing in the American Revolution. His most notable works include The Loyalists in the American Revolution (1902), The Causes of the War of Independence (1922), and The War of Independence (1929), for which he received the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1930.
