Ciaran Berry (born 1971 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish-American poet who grew up in County Galway and County Donegal. He is the author of several poetry collections, including The Sphere of Birds (2008), The Dead Zoo (2013), Liner Notes (2018), and States (2025), and his work has appeared in leading journals such as AGNI, Poetry, and Ploughshares. Notable achievements include the 2007 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry Award, the 2008 Jerwood Aldeburgh First Collection Prize, a Pushcart Prize, and the 2012 Whiting Writers' Award.
