Christopher Bram (born February 22, 1952) is an American author best known for his novel Father of Frankenstein (1995), adapted into the Academy Award-winning film Gods and Monsters, and other works exploring gay life such as Lives of the Circus Animals, which won a Lambda Literary Award. His achievements include a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2001, the Bill Whitehead Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2003, and the Randy Shilts Award for Eminent Outlaws: The Gay Writers Who Changed America in 2013. He primarily writes fiction set in historical and contemporary contexts, often focusing on LGBTQ+ themes.
