About Christian Mégret

Christian Mégret (1904–1987) was a French journalist and novelist whose career began as a colonial administrator in Togo, inspiring his debut novel Anthropophages (1934). He gained major recognition by winning the prestigious Prix Femina in 1957 for his novel Le Carrefour des solitudes, among a bibliography of over a dozen works blending journalism and fiction.
