About Chris Moriarty
Chris Moriarty (born 1968) is an American science fiction and fantasy author best known for her Spin trilogy—Spin State (2003), Spin Control (2006), and Ghost Spin (2013)—which earned nominations for the Philip K. Dick, John W. Campbell Memorial, Spectrum, Prometheus, and Lambda Awards, with Spin Control winning the 2007 Philip K. Dick Award. She also wrote the young adult fantasy duology The Inquisitor's Apprentice (2011) and The Watcher in the Shadows (2013), the latter selected for PJ Library's Jewish children's literature program. Prior to writing, she worked as a horse trainer, ranch hand, environmental lawyer, and guide, and currently lives in Ithaca, New York. K. Dick Award
