Chiya Fujino

Chiya Fujino (藤野千夜) is a Japanese novelist born on February 27, 1962, in Fukuoka, Japan. She is renowned for her literary fiction exploring social misfits and transgender experiences, with notable works including Natsu no Yakusoku (Summer Promise), which won the prestigious 122nd Akutagawa Prize in 2000, along with the Kaien Newcomer Literature Award and Noma Literary Newcomer Award.
