Chetna Maroo

Chetna Maroo is a British writer of Indian heritage. Her debut novel Western Lane (2023) was shortlisted for the Booker Prize 2023. The novel follows a young British Asian girl who becomes immersed in squash after the death of her mother. Maroo studied at Oxford University and the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Western Lane was also longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction.
