Charlotte Higgins

Charlotte Higgins is chief culture writer of the Guardian. A classicist by training, she is the author of Under Another Sky, shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson (now Baillie Gifford) Prize; Red Thread, which won the Arnold Bennett Prize; and Greek Myths. Ukrainian Lessons: Art in a Time of War, drawn from reporting trips to Ukraine after the 2022 invasion, was longlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize 2026.
