About Charles Silvestre

Charles Silvestre (1889–1948) was a French regionalist novelist whose works often depicted life on the borders of Limousin and Poitou. A friend of Charles Maurras, he collaborated with Action française and won the prestigious Prix Femina in 1926 for his novel Prodige du cœur, along with other honors like Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 1932. His notable works include Aimée Villard, fille de France, Belle Sylvie, and Pleine terre.
