Charles S. Johnson

Charles Spurgeon Johnson (1893-1956) was an American sociologist, author, and educator renowned for his pioneering studies on race relations and African American life, including notable works like Shadow of the Plantation (1934), Growing Up in the Black Belt (1941), and The Negro in Chicago (1922).
